In Loving Memory of Clarence Jerome Davis
February 28, 1959 – March 15, 2025
Clarence Jerome Davis, affectionately known by many as “Bubba” or “Bubbastone,” was born on February 28, 1959, in Los Angeles, California, to the loving union of Clarence and Emma K. Davis, both of whom preceded him in death.
From a young age, Bubba had a vibrant spirit and a love for the outdoors. He spent his childhood days playing basketball with his friends and reenacting cowboy adventures in the neighborhood—full of imagination, laughter, and fun. His older brother, Virgil, gave him the nickname “Bubba,” a name that would lovingly follow him throughout his life.
Bubba was educated in the Los Angeles Unified School District and graduated from Manual Arts High School, where he created lasting memories and friendships.
At the age of 36, Bubba met and married the love of his life, Nancy Chavez. Though their union did not produce children together, their bond was filled with unwavering love, companionship, and laughter. They remained devoted to one another until the day God called him home.
Bubba was the life of every party. His infectious smile, booming laugh, and joyful spirit could light up any room. He had a deep love for family and friends, and cherished time spent celebrating life’s special moments. Whether he was watching old Westerns, cracking jokes, or simply being present, he made every moment count.
Clarence leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Nancy Davis; his daughter, Clarissa; his son, Latrell; his beloved brother, Virgil; three beautiful granddaughters, one precious grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Though Bubba may no longer be with us in the physical, his love, laughter, and light live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly.
